This study investigates the relationship between increasing fastball velocity and the rising number of Tommy John surgeries (UCL reconstructions) among Major League Baseball pitchers. The rationale is to understand whether higher pitching velocities contribute to injury risk and to equip coaches and trainers with tools to identify warning signs and prevent future injuries.
