Description

This presentation examines the treatment for a documentary about the scandal coverup of the sugar industry. The sugar industry is responsible for faulty research and information influencing the diet culture and overall health of America. The documentary starts by discussing the diet culture and health standards before the incorrect influences occurred. It will show different statists of food proportions and the overall health of America. Then the treatment shows the mood changing as the narrators will explain what the sugar industry did. They will explain how studies were done without the sponsorship of the sugar industry being disclosed and how other studies discounted the research but were dismissed. Then the documentary will discuss the results of the harmful influences of the faulty research to the diet culture in America. It will be shown that the focus of fat-free foods started at the same time, and it was not until the early 2000s that low-carb diets were introduced and popularized by their effectiveness. Then the treatment will show the change in moods back to how the evolution of health in America began and explain what fat, carbs, calories, and fiber are and what are healthy proportions for diets. This research is important because these faulty studies have had a big impact on the health and understanding of health in America.
