Philosophy of Journal of Fundamental & Applied Business Research

The primary aim of the Journal of Fundamental & Applied Business Research is to deliver current business knowledge integrated with a Christian worldview to business professionals, educators, and students.

A secondary aim is to provide graduates and faculty of Liberty University’s business doctoral programs an opportunity to publish scholarly articles in a peer-reviewed journal that presents current business topics integrated with a Christian worldview.

Who Can Submit?

Graduates and faculty of Liberty University’s business doctoral programs, including the DSL, DBA, and PhD programs may submit an original article in response to a call for papers to be considered for publication in the Journal of Fundamental & Applied Business Research. The person submitting the article must own the copyright to the work being submitted or authorized by the copyright owner or owners to submit the article. Authors are the initial owners of the copyrights to their works (an exception in the non-academic world to this might exist if the authors have, as a condition of employment, agreed to transfer copyright to their employer).

General Submission Rules

Submitted articles cannot have been previously published, nor be forthcoming in an archival journal or book (print or electronic). Please note: "publication" in a working-paper series does not constitute prior publication. In addition, by submitting material to Journal of Fundamental & Applied Business Research, the author is stipulating that the material is not currently under review at another journal (electronic or print) and that he or she will not submit the material to another journal (electronic or print) until the completion of the editorial decision process at Journal of Fundamental & Applied Business Research. If you have concerns about the submission terms, please contact us.

The Journal of Fundamental & Applied Business Research will present a call for papers twice each academic year. In the Spring semester for Fall publication and in the Fall semester for Spring publication. Authors wishing to submit an article for publication will first send in a prospectus summarizing the article. The editorial board will review these, and authors of compelling articles chosen by the editorial board will be asked to submit a full article for possible publication in the next volume of the journal. All full articles received will be reviewed by the editorial board and will either be accepted for publication, returned to the author(s) for edits or revisions, or rejected. The author(s) will be notified via email of the status of their submitted article, and the decision of the editorial board is final. Articles selected for publication must be edited by a professional APA editor at the author’s expense. See the Document Requirements section for specific guidance regarding how to submit your prospectus or article.
