Abstract
This expansive body of work displays a composite overview of the problem considered, research process employed, and conclusive findings centered on mental health in leadership within the healthcare setting. From the research background, literature review, planning phase, execution tasks, data analysis, and conclusive findings, the research comprehensively signifies a complex contribution to the current body of knowledge. Throughout this study each of the specific research phases are carefully outlined to fully identify the problem surrounding insufficient support systems and the subsequent impact on team engagement, retention, and overall performance. The study leverages a flexible design to approach the problem statement and research questions, considering multiple cases and an exhaustive list of participants to ensure conclusive findings and study validity. The findings reveal a significant impact to leader mental health that organizational systems and support structures have, indicating several particular program qualities and practical implications necessary to address this issue across contemporary healthcare business management. Additionally, the theoretical findings allude to deeper nuance and underlying themes that provide an unexpected perspective on leader mental health and overall team well-being and performance. The use of this targeted research process further refines each theory while constructively illustrating a multitude of factors, concepts, and constructs involved in the business operating picture. Each of these components effectively builds understanding and knowledge surrounding the importance of specific leader mental health programs established and maintained at the organizational level as a measure of long-term organizational sustainability.
