Abstract
Despite numerous Evangelical churches in Texas, most churchgoers hold limited ideas about what defines worship. There is a shortage of biblically principled teaching in the Evangelical Church, particularly in the areas of First and God-honoring worship and its practices, including the Great Commission. This research primarily defines and explores the current state of worship in the Evangelical Church. This research examines how the original Adam and Eve beings, created to worship, have transformed into present-day worshipers. Today's worshipers include Sunday-only attendees, schedule-driven individuals, and spiritually drained souls, with a particular focus on those in Texas. This study will also provide evidence and reasoning for the steady decline of the Evangelical Church in Texas and the United States. This study is essential as it elucidates the accountability of God's design for human creation and the biblical intentions behind individual and collective worshipers' choices of the most suitable church for their worship needs. The biblical and, more significantly, the eternal consequences for individual and collective worshipers constitute the fundamental reason for establishing this worship foundation, underscoring the importance of this study. As God created humanity exclusively for worship, Evangelicals must resolutely understand, commit to, and diligently learn the kind of worship God seeks from His creation. This study advances the knowledge of all platforms that intersect with Christian worship.
