Abstract
This document will describe the issue of homelessness, the needs of the homeless/ displaced people, and how those needs can be addressed by creating a program. The purpose of the Transformational Home Empowerment Services for Everyone (THESE) program is to provide valuable resources to displaced individuals living within a shelter or transitional housing. The leader of this program used transformational and servant leadership skills, which will be described in the text. This program's vision, objectives, outputs, and outcomes will be listed. Details about the collaborating organization, Alice’s Home of Hope shelter, and information about the organization’s leadership and program participants will be provided. A literature framework will provide biblical and theological applications for this program. A theoretical framework with applicable theories and themes from the current literature is also discussed. The strategic operational plan will be reviewed.
This program provided weekly workshops for the shelter, centered around goal setting, creating a future vision, time management, and improvement in areas of spiritual and physical health and relationships. The aim was to educate, empower, and transform mindsets. The workshop leader offered life coaching sessions in conjunction with the workshops to assist participants in obtaining specified goals. Certificates of accomplishment were issued. The effectiveness of the workshops was assessed utilizing Likert scale evaluations and interviews. Results and conclusions were reported.
