Abstract
The purpose of this study was to develop a clear understanding of the current condition of missionary support of Virginia independent Baptist churches and to suggest to these churches a rationale and strategy for developing church-centered missions consortia. A review of the current literature shows very little material available for churches considering implementing missions consortia. Current conditions of missionary support was ascertained by using a survey instrument sent to selected Virginia pastors. This study reviews the findings, analyzes them, and presents possible alternatives to the current condition.
