Abstract
The purpose of this study is to emphasize that small groups in church need to pursue evangelism and introduce an evangelism training program for evangelistic small group leaders. Korean churches have several types of small groups. All small groups, however, need to pursue evangelism, because an evangelistic small group is a biblical model for a small group. The growth of a small group solely depends on the leader. Therefore, an effective evangelism training program for leaders must be developed in order to nurture evangelistic small groups. This project will address four major types of small groups in Korean church¬—home cell group, pasture group, house church group, and upper room (an inductive bible study group)—and analyze different training programs for leaders. It will study a survey on pastors and laity members in church to examine how they view evangelistic small groups and what they expect from the development of evangelism training program. Such study will not only reaffirm the belief that evangelistic small groups are key to sound growth of Korean churches, but also contribute to the local churches in managing evangelistic small groups more effectively by introducing specific evangelism training program to small group leaders.
본 연구의 목적은 교회 안의 소그룹이 전도를 지향해야 함을 강조하고, 이를 위해 전도 지향적 소그룹 리더를 위한 구체적인 전도훈련 프로그램을 개발하여 제안하는 것이다. 현재 한국교회에는 다양한 유형의 소그룹이 존재한다. 그런데 각 소그룹 유형이 공통적으로 지향하는 요소는 전도이어야 한다. 왜냐하면 전도 지향적 소그룹이 성경적인 모델이기 때문이다. 한편 소그룹의 성장은 리더에 달려 있다. 따라서 전도 지향적 소그룹을 성장시키기 위해서는 반드시 리더를 위한 효과적인 전도훈련 프로그램 개발이 이루어져야 한다. 본 연구자는 먼저 사례 연구를 통해 현재 한국교회에 존재하는 대표적인 네 가지 소그룹 유형들 – 구역, 목장, 가정교회, 다락방 등 – 에서 어떻게 소그룹 리더를 훈련하고 있는지를 분석할 것이다. 그리고 사례 연구의 대상이 되는 교회의 목회자와 평신도들에게 설문 조사를 실시하여 전도 지향적 소그룹에 대한 인식과 리더를 위한 전도훈련 프로그램 개발에 대한 기대를 분석할 것이다. 이와 같은 연구는 전도 지향적 소그룹이 건강한 교회 성장을 위한 기초임을 한국교회에 재확인시키며, 소그룹 리더를 위한 구체적인 전도훈련 프로그램을 제안함으로써 지역교회가 전도 지향적 소그룹을 효과적으로 운영할 수 있도록 기여할 것이다.
