Abstract
M.E. Bradford is an understudied and undervalued conservative writer who lived in the last half of the 20th century. His writings, contained in his books and conservative publications like Modern Age and National Review, reveal scathing critiques of underlying ideological foundations of post-war liberalism and conservatism. Bradford never offered his own vision of a conservative society, but his writings offer glimpses of alternative paths not taken which should be considered in light of contemporary political disputes.
