Abstract

This paper explores how the classic three act structure is used in screenwriting to drive character development throughout the story. The first act being the introduction that sets the stage to who the main character is and the challenges they will face later on. The second act features the most character growth with the main character overcoming challenge after challenge. The third and final act is the resolution of the conflict that showcases the journey the main character has gone through.
