While it is unarguable that intelligibility should be a focus in teaching pronunciation, it is still necessary to examine learners’ attitudes toward this approach. In order to understand how pronunciation teaching can be improved, the study investigated learners’ attitudes toward native accent and the motivation behind such attitudes.
