Welcome to Children's Book Reviews where Janice DeLong and Rachel Schwedt offer a fresh approach to the evaluation of titles written for children and young adults. Both Rachel and Janice are authors, teachers, mothers, and grandmothers who have been enthusiastically involved with children's literature for a combination of over fifty years. This association has resulted in the reading of thousands of books and an acquaintance with authors from Alcott to Zelinsky. It is their passion to promote books which will entertain as well as build the character of children who read. That driving desire has led to the creation of this web site.
