Abstract
Islam is the second-largest religion in the world and will most likely overtake Christianity by 2030. Jihad is a major idea within Islam and has been used by radical terrorists to invoke fear and violence on the world, especially among Christians. To best respond to this ideology, Christians must seek to understand the beginnings and history of jihad as well as Islam as a whole. Christians must also look to the Bible as it is the source of truth for Christians and determines how they should interact with radical jihadist terrorists and Muslims as a whole. Four main Biblical ideas should shape a Christian’s response to jihadist terrorism: love, prayer, justice, and discernment. Ultimately, God calls His people to love and share the Gospel with all people, even if they seek to cause the people of God to suffer.
