Dix, Elliott, "Using Spiritual Coping for Compassion Fatigue in Emergency Responders" (2022). Doctoral Dissertations and Projects. 3513.
This thesis project identified areas of improvement concerning compassion fatigue and spiritual coping mechanisms related to emergency responders. This research was unique because it considered how emergency responders served during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research used qualitative methods. Data collection was completed via telephone and in-person interviews. This project may influence others in the field to offer various options, including spiritual measures, when providing coping mechanisms.
