Abstract
Certainly, Jesus had a high view of Scirpture which includes its inerrancy, infallibility, and its ultimate authority. In fact, Jesus states these words, "You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me" (John 5:39). In this one verse, John uses two imperative Greek words: graphē and marturĕō which will be central to understanding Jesus' perspective of Scripture. In a culture growing more secular by the second, it is important now more than ever, not only to believe in the Scritpures, but defend it from Jesus' point of view. By following along this paper's systematic, biblical, and exegetically approach of John 5:30-47, Christians will have their faith strengthened in the inerrancy of the Scriptures and lead others to have the same faith as well!
