Abstract
Dr. Verghese was born on March 7, 1947. A native of India, Dr. Verghese worked in the areas of youth ministries and medicine. He came to America to finish his PhD in the area of neurology and visited Thomas Road Baptist Church in 1972. He taught mathematics, physics and New Testament studies at Liberty University. He met his wife, Rita at Liberty University and they were married in 1978. Dr. Verghese has pursued a career researching neuro-anatomy, physiology and chemistry, and has written books on the subject.
