Submission Instructions

Click the "Submit Article" link in the sidebar. Create an account. On the first page that appears, you will see a list of several items that you should have ready:

  1. Article Title
  2. Abstract (150-300 words recommended)
  3. Keywords (4-8 recommended)
  4. Article in Microsoft Word or RTF format

Click "Continue." On the next page that appears, read through the copyright agreement. Note that this agreement confirms that you hold the copyright to all the materials in your paper and have acquired permission to reproduce any copyrighted third-party material. The agreement also notes that you will maintain authority over your article (you can remove it from Scholars Crossing at a future date if you so desire). If you agree with it, click "Accept."

On the next page that appears, make sure the name and institutional affiliation sections are filled in. Click "Continue."

The page that will appear will direct you to add any additional authors of the work. If you are the sole author, then just click "Continue."

The last page in the submission process will direct you to enter your paper title, several keywords (terms that people might search on the internet when looking for the topic covered in your paper), disciplines (two of these are pre-filled for you; add any more that you think are applicable), and an abstract. Under "Full Text of Submission," select "Upload file from your computer" and browse your computer to upload the correct file. Then click "Submit."

The editors will review your paper and either accept it or return it to you with a request for revisions. If revisions are needed for acceptance, please make the revisions and resubmit the paper by following the instructions in the revision request email. When the editors finish accepting articles for the first issue, those will be published on the journal’s website; you will begin receiving monthly emails reporting download statistics for your article.

Rights for Authors and Scholars Crossing

Authors must hold the copyright to the materials in their paper. If an author wishes to include an item (such as an image or survey) to which he or she does not hold the copyright, then the author must demonstrate that the item is rights-free or that he or she has acquired permission from the copyright-holder to reproduce and distribute the material. While the author must agree to permit the document to be published in Quaerens Deum, he or she will, as the copyright-holder, retain the right to ask that the article be removed from the journal at any time should he or she desire to do so.

The failure of Scholars Crossing to exercise or enforce any right or provision in the policies or the Submission Agreement does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. If any term of the Submission Agreement or these policies is found to be invalid, the parties nevertheless agree that the court should endeavor to give effect to the parties' intentions as reflected in the provision, and the other provisions of the Submission Agreement and these policies remain in full force and effect. These policies and the Submission Agreement constitute the entire agreement between Scholars Crossing and the Author(s) regarding submission of the Article.

Permission to Reuse Content
