Peer Reviewers
Guidelines for Peer Reviewers
The peer review process influences the professional growth and development of educational colleagues and enhances the quality of the research and information published in Christian Perspectives in Education. Practitioners and researchers who are interested in peer review should submit the Application for Peer Reviewers Word document. Please download the form and follow the directions at the top of the page.
Review of manuscripts is conducted impartially through blind process by members of the Editorial Review Board. No identifying information is included on the manuscript to be reviewed.
All reviews for CPE are submitted online. Reviewers will be contacted to verify their availability for each review. After the reviewer has consented to complete the review, response is expected within a reasonable time period. Response due dates will be indicated each time a reviewer is contacted.
The review process includes three phases. The Peer Review Report Example describes the different parts of your of review and the process, but briefly the parts are:
- Quantitative review with a Likert scale
- Qualitative review with narrative comments
- Recommendation for review/publication
- Cover letter to the editors
